It showed a meteor starting to burn and then flare-out above the clouds. Someone from the Nippon Meteor Society (NMS) contacted me regarding this meteor. It is indeed real and was recorded over northern Kanto area in Japan, at 01:27 March 20th, 2005. It was captured by a number of people including SonataCo, Nomoto, Koji Ito and Takashi Sekiguchi all of whom have very kindly granted me permission to use their videos on my site. It is believed a small meteorite dropped down to Saitama prefecture Japan, but has not yet been found. There is a Japanese forum discussion on this meteor at: http://sonotaco.jp/forum/viewtopic.php?t=369 http://sonotaco.jp/forum/viewtopic.php?t=376 The videos are really good and can download at my film page: http://www.meteorites.com.au/films/ Cheers, Jeff Kuyken Meteorites Australia www.meteorites.com.au Received on Fri 26 Aug 2005 05:26:16 AM PDT |
