Subject: VIEW THE SHUTTLE & ISS TOMORROW MORNING!

If you live in the San Diego and Southern California areas, get up
early tomorrow morning (August 6, 2005) to see the Space Shuttle
Discovery and the International Space Station passing low across the
southern and eastern sky--from about 5:19 to about 5:24 a.m. PDT.

On that morning, the Shuttle will have undocked from ISS only a few
hours earlier, so the two will travel in tandem and along the same
path--from south to southeast to east--and will pass in front of
the bright constellation Orion.

Discovery should be the brighter of the two spacecraft, but both will
become fainter as they drift eastward and become more backlit by the
sun. Make sure you get out five or ten minutes early and keep watch in
the south-southeastern sky for a "star" or two moving slowly toward the
left.

The Shuttle is scheduled to land on August 8, but ISS will remain
visible throughout the week--reaching a brilliant pass on the 9th.
