Hi,

    While the squid isn't a comet, there are classical coins with meteorites and comets on them. Here is a page in the web site of a List member
with a listing, with photos, descriptions and histories, of coins and stamps with comets and meteorites ancient and modern:
    <http://www.pibburns.com/catastro/metstamp.htm>
    Very well done and worth a perusal.
    Here is web site with an exhaustive description of all astronomical events depicted on ancient coins: <http://tjbuggey.ancients.info/astro.html>
