It has a very interseting article by list member Jeff Grossman and Adrian Brearley titled "The onset of metamorphism in ordinary and carbonaceous chondrites." They studied the lowest petrologic types from 3.0-3.2. By studying the Cr distribution of the FeO-rich olivines they proposed a further subdivision of 3.00, 3.05, 3.10 and 3.15. Here is an abstract of this excellent article; <http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/arizona/maps/2005/00000040/00000001/art00006> Mike -- Mike Jensen IMCA 4264 Jensen Meteorites 16730 E Ada PL Aurora, CO 80017-3137 303-337-4361 website: www.jensenmeteorites.comReceived on Wed 20 Apr 2005 02:48:33 PM PDT |
