Hi All
I received the newest Meteoritics and Planetary Sciences issue a few days ago. It has a very interseting article by list member Jeff Grossman and Adrian Brearley titled "The onset of metamorphism in ordinary and carbonaceous chondrites." They studied the lowest petrologic types from 3.0-3.2. By studying the Cr distribution of the FeO-rich olivines they proposed a further subdivision of 3.00, 3.05, 3.10 and 3.15.
Here is an abstract of this excellent article;
