Hi List,

This article reminds me of a likely pairing I have to the Old Woman. It was
found next to the Old Woman Mountain range on a dry lake bed called Danby.
The lake bed really isn't all that dry with pockets of mud that can consume
a vehicle. I sent a piece to NAU who determined the bandwidth of my iron
matches that perfectly of the Old Woman Octahedrite. Since my piece was
found at a lower elevation and migrated to a basin it was mostly converted
to iron shale with a few specs of elemental iron still showing. NAU is
convinced there is a pairing. Now it has to be named either "Old Woman 2"
or "Danby". We will see what the NomCom has to say when supporting data is
supplied.
