Dear List (s),

After several years prospecting, I need to try to stabilize my balance and I
have decided that I should take off my collection a museum quality
meteorite, in order to fund my next winter expeditions in the Sahara and to
feed my family. One of my nicest pieces is probably the meteorite I am
offering today.

It will be the center piece of many meteorite collection.

It happened that last year I recovered a massive 6.760 kg achondrite in the
Sahara. When I first saw it, I already thought: my God, a big DIO!.

It is a very compact meteorite less fragile than average diogenites. It
shows a well preserved fusion crust with regmaglypts and flow lines, primary
and secondary crust. ( see photos). Where the crust is gone, say on half of
the meteorite surface, ( achondrite crusts are very fragile) very impressive
centimetric wide light green pyroxene cristals are present. ( see photos)

Since I brought it back, this meteorite has been examined by several
specialists and first MEB analyses has shown that this achondrite is at
least a Diogenite, confirming my guesses. Investigations should had been
finished by this fall but more material was requested to fullfill the
knowledge of this Diogenite. Isotope Oxygene ratios are not known today.

But the best prospecting season approaches and I really need to fly to the
bare and dry desert sands.

That 's why I am offering this master piece for sale today.

Serious proposals welcome off list.

I will go to Munich Show ( 29/31 nov) and can bring it with me if the case
occurs. Even if it is not sold, I have stiil some $$$$ for beer ( I should
write Euros but I have not the font in my computer )

Thank you for having read this message. If you are not a potential buyer,
please have look. It deserves a the visit.

Best regards
