Denver: L6 One stone of 230g was found on a warehouse roof on July 17, 1967. (Catalogue) Barely a mile from where I live now Hi Anne You would be a little further away from the Denver fall than 1 mile. I recently asked one of Jack's assistants Alan (who visited the site recently) where it fell. He said it fell on a warehouse near I 70 & Grape. Grape is east of Colorado Blvd. so I would guess it is 10+ miles from you. That is my closest as well, being only 20 minutes away from my house. Also of note is I/we have three other falls within 1 hour drive. These include Elbert, Johnstown, and of course Berthoud. I've hunted all three but have not found any of them....at least not yet anyway. Anybody else besides all us COMETS members have such a dense concentration of falls so close. Something equally as interesting is that I have only two finds within 1 hour of my home, Apex and Erie. Maybe I better get hunting and find some more.
