OK, but if that's true and if the "rogue" price was actually never collected (because the advertiser wouldn't follow through and honor it), that's not a questionable economic or marketing practice, that's just plain illegal. Again, it's not a PRICE unless it is willingly paid - if the seller didn't honor the price he himself advertised, it's bait-and-switch and he'll be out of business soon, either by buyers abandoning him or the Feds throwing him in jail.
