Good work and good report, Rob! Glad to hear that you and ET
are on top of things. A cursory look at the topos for that region
suggests that recovery is going to be a bit of a challenge, but
perseverance may indeed pay off -- just as it did for the talented
crew that worked the Neuschwantstein fall a couple years back.

The key is going to be good data, and you guys sound like your
on the right track. In the absence of geometrically detailed visual
reports (tough to come by for such an early morning bolide), sonic
boom reports are going to be your best clues for narrowing your
search.

>From the security videos I've seen, the bolide didn't last long,
which perhaps is to be expected given the time of the morning
(Washington State pointing somewhat into the "ram" direction of
the earth's orbital motion around the sun). But given that there
were sonic booms, prospects are much better that material made
it to the ground. With just a little more tangible data, I might
even consider heading up that way over the weekend. --Rob
