Since the farmers were only being paid a fraction of this amount = by lets just say "local people in charge" the farmers refused to sell = them at the lower rate after this. The local people in charge were = selling them for a dollar a gram to dealers before the gringo barged in = there and over paid unknowingly doubling the wholesale price for = everybody else. Now you cannot get Allende for less than $2.00 a gram = wholesale and at that price you have to buy several kilos. If anybody = decides to go down there be careful because of the bad situation left = behind by an unknowing US dealer.
