However I don't know how to do it. My idea is to approach an acquaintance at a commercial lab and ask if they can assist. I have an unclassified NWA I would like to get looked at as it is only 262gr whole mass. I figure paying for the analysis is the easiest way. =20 As far as I can work out, some method of mass spectrometry needs to be done, but is it just a case of working out which elements are in the rock? What then happens to the results, and who should interpret them? Should a lab have a meteorite expert to do this interpretation?=20 =20 Regards Ryan Darby =20 ------_=_NextPart_001_01C3D5A6.01750C55 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html> <head> <META HTTP-EQUIV=3D"Content-Type" CONTENT=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"> <meta name=3DGenerator content=3D"Microsoft Word 10 (filtered)"> <style> <!-- /* Style Definitions */ p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal {margin:0in; margin-bottom:.0001pt; font-size:12.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} a:link, span.MsoHyperlink {color:blue; text-decoration:underline;} a:visited, span.MsoHyperlinkFollowed {color:blue; text-decoration:underline;} span.EmailStyle17 {font-family:Arial; color:navy;} _at_page Section1 {size:8.5in 11.0in; margin:1.0in 1.25in 1.0in 1.25in;} div.Section1 {page:Section1;} --> </style> </head> <body lang=3DEN-US link=3Dblue vlink=3Dblue> <div class=3DSection1> <p class=3DMsoNormal><font size=3D2 color=3Dnavy face=3DArial = PTSIZE=3D10 FAMILY=3DSANSSERIF><span = style=3D'font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'>Dear All,</span></font></p> <p class=3DMsoNormal><font size=3D2 color=3Dnavy face=3DArial><span = style=3D'font-size: 10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'> </span></font></p> <p class=3DMsoNormal><font size=3D2 color=3Dnavy face=3DArial><span = style=3D'font-size: 10.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:navy'>I work for a laboratory software = company, so how the meteorites are analyzed is interesting to me.
