It starts off a bit slow, like a fat > kid on a bicycle, but soon picks up speed and rolls right along. Craters > and meteors are mentioned many times. The book is "Cradle Of > Saturn" by James P. Hogan. James Hogan is one of my FAVORITE sci-fi writers because he always does his physics homework. I've enjoyed pretty much every book he's written, from "The Genesis Machine", to the four books in the Giants series (e.g. "Inherit the Stars", "Gentle Giants of Ganymede"), "Endgame Enigma", and the classic "Thrice Upon a Time". World War II history buffs will also enjoy the time-traveling novel "The Proteus Operation". If you enjoy Asimov, Herbert and Sir Arthur Clarke, you will very likely enjoy Hogan. --Rob ------_=_NextPart_001_01C3D499.5A051C38 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <META content="MSHTML 5.00.3810.1700" name=GENERATOR></HEAD> <BODY> <DIV><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=068140321-06012004>Hi Fred,</SPAN></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=068140321-06012004></SPAN></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=068140321-06012004>> </SPAN></FONT><FONT face=arial, helvetica><FONT face=Georgia lang=0 size=3 FAMILY="SERIF" PTSIZE="12">I finished a wild science fiction book yesterday, filled with science fact<SPAN class=068140321-06012004><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial size=2> </FONT></SPAN></FONT></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=arial, helvetica><FONT face=Georgia lang=0 size=3 FAMILY="SERIF" PTSIZE="12"><SPAN class=068140321-06012004><FONT color=#0000ff face=Arial size=2>></FONT> </SPAN> and fancy, and some strange theories.
