Hi Dave & all,
        I, also have read LUCIFER'S HAMMER and can't recommend it
highly enough. While it is obviously fiction, it is exceptionally well
written both from a scientific perspective as well as plot line,
interesting characters, etc.
        Try it, you'll like it.
