Don't know if he's still using that handle but he would bid on fakes. Other potential bidders would see his bid, and perhaps curious, click on his "about me" ebay page, where they would find a dissertation on the great proliferation of fake artifacts on ebay, and how to avoid them. Perhaps 30% of Native American artifacts on ebay are fake, and this was his way of doing his part to fight back.
