Hi Tom and all,

While Nininger was certainly responsible for a number of Texas meteorites, Talking to
the past curator of the Moning collection, quite an impressive number of Texas
meteorites were found by Oscar Moning. He was the Nininger of Texas Meteorites so to
speak.

A post on the list about Travis County (and a reference to the archives of Meteorite
Magazine!) listed one of these most impressive finds. One that if it had not been for
Mr. Moning would probably still be lost and oxidizing.

perhaps someone that has access to the disk from the Catalog of Meteorites might be
able to zip you off a list of specimens from Texas without a great amount of trouble.
