Dear All,
I go with Norbert's post below, all of it. I like priority for a number
of reasons (besides the handy free boxing). One, being since I am in
the middle of no-where, that when myself or the customer pays with
paypal, especially a "buy it now" option, instant money (sort of) that
the buyer/myself like the idea that the specimen be shipped
expeditiously (even if it is only in our minds eye). I try to get the
piece in the mail system with in a couple of hours if not sooner if the
post office is open.
Indeed, the consumer/ myself does indeed look at that handling price
aside from the base shipping cost. It is all considered in the final
purchase price and we all examine that.
I feel that trying to recoup paypal costs in the handling is "in bad
form there capt'n hook..". I prefer to set my price with my total costs
(minus the actual shipping cost) into the reserve/ initial asking price.
Obviously, I can sell other rocks better than meteorites in today's
competitive meteorite Emarket place. I do not buy from those that
charge much of a handling fee.
Best wishes,
Dave Freeman
