The entire mountain = (Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, all mountain communities) have = been evacuated. He has no access to his email at the moment. The phone = lines and electricity are down, and we have heard that the cable company = (Charter Communications-a few blocks from his house) has burned down, so = the lines will not be up soon. =20 Latest information seems to indicate that the fire came within a block = of his house and then the wind changed and took it back in another = direction, but nothing is certain until he can get up there to see. At = this time, the fire has taken off to the East so should not be a threat = to his community. The low humidity and hot weather seems to be = breaking, with cooling in the next couple of days so that should all = help. In the meantime, anyone wanting to communicate with him, please email me = at this new email address: JIM_at_meteorite1.com (which is a varient on my email box and I will deliver messages by = telephone to him). If messages are very long or detailed I will print = them up and mail them to him.
