The tsunami disaster has recently been reviewed by the Discovery Channel in which they went over in great detail the Hilo/North Hawaii tsunami disasters. About three years ago I visited the area outside Hilo where the school was swept away with a group of 14 - 20+ children drowning-very sad. The program also reviewed the steps that Hilo has taken to prevent future disaster when (not if) the next major tsunami hits. Hilo has the added "privilege" of also being in line for major volcanic lava flows from time to time -- Ain't paradise lovely. Think I'll just stick to hot weather, drought and tornados out here in East Texas. Aren't we also "Over Due" for an asteroid slam, major earthquake in California and the Midwest, and a ..... (whatever!) Makes ya wana either live life to the fullest or just not get out of bed in the morning. Guess it's mainly about folks that need to sell more newspapers and magazines to us doomsdayer fans.
