To any new list subscribers (or quiet lurkers who have been hesitant to contribute), gems like Stu's post are one of the many reasons to stay subscribed. With a list of this size, skirmishes will occasionally break out, but these storms are generally short-lived and should not be construed as "business as usual". For those who might have missed Stu's post, he visited five schools in five days, showing meteorites to hundreds of children, most of whom had probably never before held a meteorite in their own hands. As an extra nice touch, he brought along some small pieces of Zagami, which must have been a great hit with kids who had watched Mars blazing all summer in their beautifully dark skies. There is no telling how many meteorite enthusiasts (and future scientists, hunters and customers!) will result from Stu's expedition up north. We all have something to contribute to this hobby -- don't be afraid to share your own experiences, however trivial they may seem to you. You'll inspire others (as Stu has now inspired me) to get out there and share your knowledge and passion with others -- especially children. You really can make a difference.
