Here's an amusing eBay "rock":

<http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2204998729&category=3239
>

2 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 2 1/4" weighing 8 lbs.

So, let's do the math:

Volume = 23.91 cubic inches = 392 cubic centimeters
Mass = 3580 grams
Density = 3580/392 = 9.13 g/cm^3

Yet the ad says the density is 6.5. (Maybe that's what he means when
he says it's "Denser than what it should be.") ;-)

The pictures aren't good enough for me to hazard a guess as to what
it is (other than that it is certainly not a meteorite, as implied
by the title). Given the kooky comments in the text of the auction,
perhaps none of his numbers are reliable... --Rob
