REGINA - (AP) - A party from the Dominien observatory and the geological = staff of the Saskatchewan goverment are studying what may turn out to the= largest meteor crater in the world - three times as large as the biggest= crater ever established as being caused by a meteor. Reports here said a six-mile wide gash in the earth's surface has been fo= und in Northern Saskatchewan at Deep Bay on Reindeer Lake, 250 miles nort= heast of Prince Albert. It is so deep that its depth has not been establi= shed. Dr. M. J. S. Innes of the Dominion observatory staff is at the site. Dr. = C. S. Beas, Dominion astronomer, says he hopes this year's work will esta= blish the origin of the crater.
