NWA 968 is real unlike your Pitino stone. Everything we have = submitted is legitimate. The statement below will prove that you lied = to the Meteoritical Society. About five people saw you purchase this = piece in Denver and yet you claimed it as your own find, get real. = Pitino was purchased at Denver 2002 from Hans as a graphite nodule and = was later determined to be an ordinary chondrite. We saved you $500 on = the purchase, Mike, because we turned it down and told you the price = Hans offered it to us. Mike, I mean Chico, stop pissing on my tire. 9-24-2002, a statement to the list from Mike Farmer in the Meteorite = Central Archives: Hello everyone, I have been very quiet lately, just catching up on =3D family time with my wife.=3D20 Denver was a little slow, lots of fun though. I was there from Tuesday = =3D until Friday, so unfortunately I missed the auction and party.=3D20 There were of course many nice meteorites out there, just not enough = =3D money to buy them all.=3D20 One thing I did pick up was a new meteorite.=3D20 This stone weighs 1676 grams, and was found in July in the Campo del =3D Cielo strewnfield. It was found on the surface and the hunters thought = =3D that it was a Campo graphite nodule. Hans Koser told me about it in =3D August and that he thought it might be Campo. He had it so when I say it = =3D in Denver, I knew it was a chondrite. I bought it from him and cut it = =3D when I got home, it is a very beautiful chondrite, high metal, few =3D chondrules but those are armored. The stone has many plow cuts, so it = =3D has been hit many times. It is under analysis now in Russia, should =3D have the data very quickly.=3D20 While it is only a chondrite, it is finally a new meteorite from =3D anywhere but Northwest Africa. Ill have photos on my website later today.=3D20 PS, I updated my website all over with many new meteorites, nice =3D Tenhams, new NWA irons, etc. Check them out, some great items!=3D20 Mike Farmer http://www.meteoritehunter.com=3D20 ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Michael Farmer=20 To: meteorite-list_at_meteoritecentral.com=20 Sent: Saturday, May 17, 2003 6:01 PM Subject: [meteorite-list] Request information Does anyone have any data on the NWA 968 iron from Morocco?=20 Mike Farmer ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Michael Farmer=20 To: meteorite-list_at_meteoritecentral.com=20 Sent: Saturday, May 17, 2003 6:01 PM Subject: [meteorite-list] Request information Does anyone have any data on the NWA 968 iron from Morocco?=20 Mike Farmer ------=_NextPart_000_0019_01C31CEE.F8764300 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.2919.6307" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Hey Mike,</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Never question something that we have submitted because we are = always=20 real.
