After one and a half months the Garza Wrecking Ball showed up just in time
for Greg's 40th birthday. Talk about timing, this meteorite came gift
wrapped with an evidence bag from the Park Forest police department after
spending one month in the poky for vandalism. The meteorite was actually
listed as the offender in the police report but could not be charged because
it was an act of God.

After opening the box we got the chance to examine this "one ugly muther" up
close and personal. We just stared at it in awe for about a half an hour
and pondered the several hard earned scares on its surface. There was
sheet-rock dust, several different colored paints, wood and tar stuck to
this home wrecker.

We then went over a partial inventory of the damage this unwelcome hammer
caused. The inventory is impressive:

1.) two composition roof tiles (punched trough like paper)
2.) tar paper (shredded)
3.) plywood (fragmented)
4.) 2 X 4 joist (broken)
5.) insulation (torn)
6.) ceiling drywall (knocked out like a hole punch in three places)
7.) venetian blinds (split down the center)
8.) two windows (shattered)
9.) window frame (deformed)
10.) heavy metal window sill (cratered)
11.) sheet-rock wall (cracked from stress of window sill crater)
11.) full height mirrored closet door (shattered)
12.) floor scuff (there)
13.) two insects (exterminated)

We found the surprise bonus of the two pulverized insects in the box that
contained the debris this murderous mass left behind while plucking out
splashforms. After examining the wings of one of these dead units we
concluded that it might have been a termite previous to the impact.

We would like to publicly thank Noe Garza and his family for preserving all
of the impacted items for us and showing extreme patience while everybody
came to examine the damage to his house. His family endured a considerable
amount, first the shock of having an unmerciful meteorite shred his house,
then having to entertain dozens of reporters, then giving tours to strangers
who wanted to see the damage and finally putting up with us for the last
month and a half. It was very fortunate that nobody was injured during this
event and more important for us that Noe is a great guy to work with.

Wishing everybody the best,

Adam and Greg Hupe

P.S. We are going celebrate Greg's 40th tonight with Lunar Lagers at the
Asteroid Cafe. If any of you are ever in Seattle, give us a heads up and we
will join with you for some fun.
