Hi Mark:
Please post the report and the name of the researcher(s) who did the work on
this material once it is published. I know so little about this site that
posting an alternative explanation would be out of the question. However, I
will say this...the "crater" appears to be quite small from the photos.
Production of lechatelierite, impact breccias, impact melt, etc...suggests a
minimum crater diameter of 1km. It appears that you have a much smaller
"crater" on your photos? Lechatelierite can ALSO be formed from volcanism
and lightening. The breccias you cite as evidence of impact look like karst
breccias to me. What IS a "nickel splash incusion"? That is labelled on your
quartz nodule.
Lets discuss once some scientific research is done on your pieces.
Thanks,
Matt

Matt these specimens will be analyzed by every lab on the planet before
long. In the meantime, to be an effective skeptic, maybe you could offer an
alternate hypothesis as to what these are based on your observations. I
eagerly await your participation.

I apologize for the weak website but I have a lot of field work to do.
Just be patient or hit the site at weird hours when it's available. Thanks.
