I want to let him down gently and would like to find out if there is a naturally occurring terrestrial blue glass. Images show that his "meteorite" is most likely man made glass but it would be nice if it turned out to be some natural stone. Any mineral specialist out there that could give this a name? Here it is: http://members.rogers.com/tett/g_wmeteorite.html My friend thought that the grey coating on one face was crust. I guess that this is where the glass came in contact with dirt while in the molten state. Thanks for any help.
