Thanks for the Compliments on my current NWA 998 Auction package, Mark.=20
http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/catchafallingstar.com/

I must admit that I have never been a big thin section collector, =
although I do have a few to compliment some of my specimens. But when I =
sold a thin section of NWA 998 to Steve Schoner he sent me one of his =
polarizers as a gift. Now, this invention of Steve's is really cool and =
makes viewing thin sections effortless. So, maybe Steve's polarizer =
will help create a lot of thin section collectors. I know it sure has =
changed my opinion of thin section collecting.

Hurry up and get these into production, Steve!!!

  Hello List,

Thought I would follow Steve Schoner's lead and share photos of my =
NWA998 thin section that I got from Jim Strope as well. Jim's currant =
auction is a great value and had I not already had the thin section I =
would seriously consider bidding.

NWA998 through Schoner's Polarview and my microscope

  http://www.meteoritearticles.com/files/NWA998ts.JPG

  NWA998 using only Schoner's Polarview

  http://www.meteoritearticles.com/files/NWA998polarview.JPG

Note: Photos were taken through my camera (Nikon 990) but not touched =
up.

The photo using only the Polarview was the first time I had tried to =
use it by itself and was surprized how great it turned out. I don't have =
any good light inside my house so I took it outdoors and was holding it =
up funny trying to get the camera under it. This attracted the attention =
of some of the neighborhood kids. They ran across ot my porch and asked, =
"What are you taking a photo of?" (I buy the neighborhood kids ice cream =
from time to time if they agree to leave the rocks outside my door =
alone...so they always look to see what I am up to).

"A Mars rock." I calmly answered.

"Really" One of them replied. "No Way!" declared another.

Kids being kids, one shoved one of the others and was quickly =
insulted. "Your a Mars rocks!" "No you are!" Then they ran =
off....perhaps to bother another neighbor in hopes of getting free ice =
cream.

Anyway, my point in this story is that the kids saw the Mars rock as =
not believable. Something made up. Unreal or at the best surreal. Much =
like out currant "Dealer Refund" string. So to the person asking for a =
refund from Steve Arnold. You my friend, are a Mars rock.

PS, here is a link to Jim's auction:
