We have a quantative satellite info, which allows to evaluate the hypothetical meteoroid kinetic energy. We have a possible infrasonic detection and a few of witness's accounts. I can just say that the area is very remote, and hard (and expensive!) to reach. Anyway, If somebody wants to spend his money to go to there - I think it is possible. But please, pay attention, that in Russia meteorites belong to a state. Anyway, this expedition is already the third one The previous two were conducted by scientists from Irkutsk, in general - they took snow samples. They keep silence on results, but I think if they found something, we would hear in the news. No any news till now. One of the problem is that taiga is used to be devastated by windstorms, forest-fires, etc. So I think the best thing is to wait for more info. Best wishes, Andrei - -----Исходное сообщение----- От: Marco Valois <newsete_at_hotlink.com.br> Кому: meteorobs_at_atmob.org <meteorobs@atmob.org> Дата: 8 июня 2003 г. 4:28 Тема: (meteorobs) Marco Valois - And... > > >Hello Andrei, > >Since the last year that I was expecting from news coming from Bodaibo bolide. So, now it comes. You question about the 'area to be researched" >I would say, at first, from the center to the end of its total diameter, since the observations are in loco. But no photos? From the air? From satellites? >From the meteorites? From the burned trees? From the soil? >I mean nothing in about one year of researches? Nothing like any little evidence on the bolide. Of course not... but if it were another man made bolide? > >Regards, > >Marco Valois > >Lt. 38? - Lg. 8? Recife, PE ------------------------------ __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
