Yes, there are a few Sputnik Satellite backups that have been sold with =
the proper paperwork. Here is a link to one of them that an exotic car =
dealer has for sale:
http://www.staufferclassics.com/sputnik.html

The one on ebay is now listed as an invalid item. I guess ebay put a =
stop to all the fake bidding.

If you want to bid on valid ebay auctions, don't forget to check out my =
auctions that are ending tonight. Some great specimens this week!!! =
(how is that for turning this Sputnik discussion into a shameless ebay =
plug!!!)

Bid high and Bid often, I need money for my vacations this summer......

Best Wishes..........

Actually, I believe there are "legit" copies of Sputnik out there, =
manufactured in the (former) Soviet Union. =20

When we lived back in Eastern PA, I remember an article in the =
Allentown newspapaer one weekend in their science section, about a small =
antique store located in Kutztown PA that had one on display (not sure =
if it was for sale). I don't remember details as to how many they said =
existed, or exactly why it was made.

I know where the store is, but never got a chance to go check it out.
