Three other experts are on the scene today with our reporter and they seem to agree it was a meteorite too, so all signs point to it being legit :) Sincerely, Scott Sistek KOMO Weather Producer -----Original Message----- From: magellon [mailto:magellon_at_earthlink.net] Sent: Wednesday, July 16, 2003 2:34 PM To: WebTeam_at_komo4news.com Subject: Apparent Meteorite Lands In Elma High School Lot Gentlemen: I enjoyed your article about the teens finding a meteorite. After seeing the picture and reading the entire story, I fear you and the Daily World to be victims of a hoax.... I will not go into detail at this time, but the story is not consistent with meteorite falls. Pict is not of fresh meteorites. Best, Ken Newton http://home.earthlink.net/~magellon/mepage.html --------------7640D1F42213A968B119943E-- Received on Wed 16 Jul 2003 08:22:02 PM PDT |
