No, although it looks similar to our new Ridiculously Gorgeous new Mesosiderite NWA 1879 (provisional) it is not the same material, two separate labs confirmed this. The new Mesosiderite (NWA 1879) has a TKW of only 1,624 grams. The new metal-rich Diogenite (NWA 1827) has a TKW of over 80,000 grams of which we have 2,500 grams. We priced it at $20.00 a gram because our acquisition costs were higher. The other party was offering it $11.60 a gram and then raised it to $30.00 a gram so you tell us what is going on. We decided we are going to keep what we have in our collection and cancel another shipment that was due to ship this Thursday because of reports that this material sold for $3.00 a gram in Europe at the show. All the best, Adam Received on Tue 01 Jul 2003 11:01:47 PM PDT |
