Q: When were most space floaters from Mars and the Moon created?
A: A couple billions of years ago when most of the planetary bombardments
were occurring.

Q: How long have these planetary meteorites been on earth?
A: Probably all less than 25,000 years. So we know the rate of finds from
material found that probably fell in recent times. 1 to 1

Q: Was there a different amount of material released into space when
comparing the Moon and Mars bombardments?
A: I would think that Mars based on size and crater capacity would have more
material blasted out into space than the Moon...probably a lot more!!

Q: Does distance from earth and timing factor into the rate and timing of
falls to earth from each source?
A: Yes, I would think the rates change with time due to distance away...which
one is still giving us falls...Mars!

Q: If due to proximity then most of the lunar stuff fell to Earth earlier in
time(more than 50,000 years ago). If so, then wouldn't that material be
almost all gone, consumed by earthly processes?
A: Yes

Q: Would Mars material survive falls better than Lunar material?
A: Not sure...it is igneous Mars rocks versus similar, but surface/impact
created brecciated material from the Moon. Mars stuff maybe tougher.

Q: Are there more factors?
A: YES

Tough question Mark...maybe someone has a real answer?

John
PS I have a question.
Q: Where are meteorites blasted from Earth?
A: duhhhhhhhhhh?????????
