I have some canyon Diablo iron oxide meteoritic material that looks quite similar. The iron appears to laminate (or delaminate?) as it deteriorates into an oxide. I would suggest that the same thing is happening here in what is probably a severely weathered H chondrite. I have bought a lot of material from Bessy, and doubt if he would ever sell anything he was not positive was a meteorite.
