Steve does indeed regard this as his list, existing for his purposes only. I don't think you're overreacting at all. I know there are list-members who have no problem at all with Steve. I know he welcomed collectors and hunters to Park Forest. But I also know I'm not alone in regarding him as incredibly selfish, a bull in a china shop. How much longer will Jeff Grossman of The Meteoritical Society, and various other meteoritical scientists and prestigious meteorite-folks remain here, if they routinely find their mailboxes overflowing with "humor" that even my 12-year-old nephew finds childish? Since this has, to a large degree, become the Steve-list anyway, and since I'm sure we're all in favour of as much "free speech" in cyber-space and as many options to choose from as possible, perhaps it's time for those who feel so inclined to just leave the current list as-is, and start a new one? Perhaps I'm overreacting and it isn't quite time yet, but it would hardly be surprising if an ever-increasing percentage of the list-membership felt that such a time is getting closer and closer. $0.02.
