Kinda funny you mentioned that. Many of the sikhote sellers seem to be =
selling sikhotes that have some kind of gun like blueing or black =
coating put on them. Personally I don't really see any problem with =
this, but I think I would prefer them not to have the coating. I =
remember seeing some very large Sikhotes either in Tucson or Denver were =
the coating had pooled a little beneath the meteorite. However, two of =
the later ones I have, do not seem to have lost any of their coating =
yet. So I guess I am saying, you might want to see if it has a coating =
already..not that Sikhote is much of a worry.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the coating on sikhotes we have been =
seeing? Or possibly know what it is?
