When I was in secondary school my chemestry teacher said tha she had a meteorite in her house, I went to see and this was the story I was told of that meteorite. According to her housband that meteorite was found in road construction about 10 to 15 years ago. He was responsible for setting the Power lines in the highway od Guadalajara. One morning they arrived to the construction place and found one of the wood lines broken down lying on the ground, according to them the wood line was broken in half and burned, so it was impossible for a human being to break it, nor an accident, cuz the breaking point was tu high to be reached by a car. So they decided to investigate with trigonometrics to locate the object that struck the line, so they dug a small hole and the found this 90 pound (approx) metallic object, very heavy for the size, just like an iron meteorite, but when I saw it only one thing was missing, it is NOT MAGNETIC. It has all characteritics of a meteorite, unless that. Also the story is very convincing, but I still dont know if its true or not, I believe her, but I truly dont know what is that. She told me that she can give me a piece for examination, is someone willing to analyze it? This meteorite was the one that started my curiosity about meteorites, but the very first meteorite I saw and touched was one of the worlds biggest meteorites, the Bacubirito in Sinaloa¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ =) A good meteorite, very good for starting¡¡¡ =P =0) Rafael B.
