Hello List,
Just a little insight as to what a truly special and dedicated person
Steve is. Until tonite, I didn't know how truly ill he has been.Or that
he had been in the hospital and is only just recovering from his nearly
fatal ADEM.
I had wanted to send in what I thought to be a meteteorite sample, for
analyzation. I not only got an immediate response from him, but days
after having sent him my sample ect., I got another response, with
verification of his findings. Here I am, a rookie, and because I had
told him, his findings were of urgent importance to me, and that I was
prepared to wait however long it took, as his web-site had warned, due
to the volume of specimens he recieved, it coud take days, months, or
maybe years to get an answer.
As sick as he was, unbeknownst to me, he took the time and energy, to
come to my immediate aid. It turns out that what I had sent him was't
even a meteorite , but as he went to extent to tell me, was that it was
an "erratic", with explanation. I would call that true dedication, and
compassion, way beyond the call of duty, especially considering his
extremely weakened state and severe illness.
Is it any wonder Steve, that you recieved numerable e-mails , sending
you regards? Obviously, I am not the only person to appreciate the
special person you are, and how dedicated you are to your work. Take
good care of yourself Steve, you are invaluable, as an expert in your
field, and as a human being.
Just thought I'd let the rest of you know, in case you didn't already.
