So I put a 209.99 figure thinking the proxy would take care of it and I would not have to log on. At the end of the auction Pekka had bid his heart out and ran me up to the 209 mark before time ran out and he lost. And er.. well...( 50.00) was probably the going price. The seller took pity and double the amount he sent..lol... So maybe this is why you do not put the proxy all the way to the limit... Sometimes you get caught. :-) Rosie ----- Original Message ----- From: <CMcdon0923_at_aol.com> To: <meteorite-list_at_meteoritecentral.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 24, 2002 9:40 PM Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] Meteoritic Misadventure > Sorry to hear about your misadventures....I've had similar experiences > (connection lost, "fat-fingering" logon/password, etc.)...so this brings up > an interesting (at least IMHO) question...... > > Every time I lose an item to this type of occurrence, I ask myself "why" I > was so foolish to do it.
