meteor photoHi:

It's an actual photo by the Russian Mir-19 crew. At the time they were =
backed away from the Mir space station in a Soyuz spacecraft. Full =
credit and explanation is hidden in the picture's caption -- click on =
the words "Pictured above." The Astronomical Picture of the Day is a =
great site that I recommend to all of you, and lots of information is =
packed into the links in the captions.

Thanks Mike for the great link.=20
  =20
I have a question that my son asked and I could not answer. If someone =
on the list could answer this I would really appreciate it.

In the photo list there is a shot of the shuttle docked with Mir, you =
can view it at:
  http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap021020.html

Who or what took this photo? I know it is not Hubble, I have a hunch =
it is a little too far away to be an astronaut in an MMU. How did they =
take this photo?
