In fact, over the years I have been in the process of
"cleaning house" and divesting myself of larger
specimens, focusing instead of thin sections
exclusively. I think that these are much more
interesting, and reveal much, much more than a chunk
sitting on a shelf or in a box.

To facilitate my interest I developed a slide viewer
"Polaraview" to better appreciate my slides using a
simple and cheap microscope or hand lens.

It can even be used with a simple web cam, or macro
lens digital camera.

I have several more of the glass filter models in the
the making (they are hand made) and I might consider
trading a couple of these for nice and select
petrologic slides. Otherwise they are $100.00 each.
