Dear List Members:

Sorry, for the late reply. I observed 164 meteors from 4:30am to 6:00am from
Longboat Key (Sarasota) Florida. I was on the beach, facing east, with the
moon behind me. Temperature was "cold" by Florida standards- a whopping 54
F. Perfectly clear skies since a high pressure front moved in.

I witnessed over 600 Leonids in 2 hours on Nov 19, 2001 under a moonless
clear night in Chiefland, Florida (near Gainesville). The leonid storm will
live forever in my memories.

Sincerely
Greg Shanos
