Dated = Sunday, June 22 1947. (Note: Occupied by American forces).=20 "1,000-Ton Meteorite Drops In Soviet Area" "MOSCOW, June 20 - A huge meteorite weighing 1,000 tons has dropped in = the Far Eastern area of the Soviet Union. Soviet Scientist have been = dispatched to investgate." Not much of an article. Not sure why either. Russia was not on "good = terms" with the Americans after the war but the Berlin Wall was not = built untill 1961. So why take 4 months to tell the world in two lines = that a meteorite fell? Any thoughts?
