Rhett and All,

I for one am very, very encouraged to see the IMCA getting off the ground.
In my opinion, this is something that is at least a decade overdue. The
advantages are obvious and have been stated before, so I won't belabor them
here.

I just wanted to say that those who have taken the lead in this effort
deserve our support. It is a good thing indeed that they are trying to
improve our hobby/career/passion in this way. But keep in mind that there
_will_ be nay-sayers in this effort. There are _always_ nay-sayers. If
you see a homeless woman clutching a baby and you give her a sandwich to
eat, someone somewhere will say that you are stupid or immoral or a
criminal or whatever. The solution, of course, is to do what you believe
is best and not let anyone else distract you with complaints or negativity.

There will be a few issues and details to work out along the way. There
always are. Let all of the forward-looking and thinking individuals here
work cooperatively together to come up with ways to make it work rather
than reasons why it can't or shouldn't.

My point is that those who want to participate can and those who don't want
to participate are free to walk away.

Rock on dudes!
