Subject: [meteorite-list] A little help Hello all and Happy New Year- I'm trying to find one of those mechanical models like we had in gradeschool that shows planetary motion. Remember, little tabletop model withthe sun in the middle and a series of gears moving the planets around it, some even had the moon on a separate gear around earth. Do these things have a name? I swear I have tried everything I can think of on a web search and its coming up zilch. MODEL, KEPLER, PLANET(s)(ary), MECHANICAL, MOTION, SOLAR SYSTEM, ORBIT----all failed in various combinations. Any ideas? -- In gentle decay, dave http://www.meteorites.ic24.net/index.html http://www.thc.u-net.com/davethc1.htm "I have a proof that x^n+y^n=z^n never has integer solutions for n>2. However, it won't fit into my signature file...."Received on Tue 01 Jan 2002 03:50:01 AM PST |
