For you lucky = winners of the contest and the three winners of the specimens offered on = ebay, it has been reconfirmed, today, that NWA 1459 is the rarest sample = of 4 Vesta or any other meteorite class in existence! Three aliquots = analyzed separately plotted NWA 1459 in the HED class or more accurately = the HEDO (O is for Olivine Diogenite) main class group. Because it has = the highest amount of olivine and chromite it has now become the most = scientifically important HEDO sample in existence. It is also the = deepest known achondrite sample from the Vesta parent body. =20 We are starting to get isotope data from several samples submitted = months ago. Some very exciting results are expected so be prepaired for = another mystery meteorite contest soon. We will manage this contest a = little better this time limiting it to one response per entrant. = =20 Wishing everybody the very best, Adam and Greg Hupe The Hupe Collection IMCA 2185 3 > Iriqui plots with the HED's. ------=_NextPart_000_0013_01C2A77E.D2E5F940 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.2919.6307" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Dear List Members,</FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>I promised I would share the results of = the=20 O-isotope analysis on Iriqui (NWA 1459), the only olivine diogenite in = private=20 hands.
