Hello List and Howard

Here's 3 things to do when your in Tucson that I can recommend.

1. Titan II Missile Museum, Green Valley Exit 69 on I-19 south of =
Tucson. A piece of the Cold War is a Museum, The only Inter-Continental =
Ballistic Missile Silo open to the public, Built to withstand Near =
Nuclear Bomb strike. The Dimension of everything are awesome, So =
overbuilt in everyway, it has two 3-1/2 ton Blast Doors you can move by =
one hand. and it has Titan missile in it and the silo door half open for =
viewing strait down it, Guided tour only 9 to 5, they are limited to =
small number, 2 hours max.
Here it's web page
http://www.pimaair.org/titan_01.htm

2. Kitt Peak National Observatory, The road to the top is open from =
10 am to 4 pm only, a great place for a picnic, No food at the gift =
shop, about the only thing open, so bring your own food and drinks, =
There are only 3 guided tour of several Telescopes. you can also do a =
self-guided tour, Great views but may be cold, lot of walking at high =
elevation(6800') can makes it harder, Kitt Peak road from State hwy 86, =
40 miles west of Tucson. If the weather cold and wet, the road my be =
close due to snow and ice at the top. All day trip bring food.
Here it's home page
http://www.noao.edu/kpno/

3. Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, This is a One of a Kind Museum and =
Zoo, With a cool walk thru cave exhibit, Other Sonoran exhibits are =
Habitats, Plants,=20
Animals, Mineral collection and more, I'm not sure if there Dinosaur =
exhibit is open yet. Lots of walking, good shoes, your also just south =
of Saguaro National Forest, Nice to drive all around in it, and also Old =
Tucson Studios is near by, Kinney Rd off Ajo Hwy (State 86) West of =
Tucson. Make a day trip out of these.
Here it's home page
http://desertmuseum.org/index.html

I hope you all enjoy them as much as I have, and I hope you don't get =
lost.
If anyone needs any info on Arizona, I'll be glad to help. Specially on =
Backpacking, Hiking and Photography all over Arizona.

Chandler AZ
