It is simply amazing to see how much ''air time'' a non-event can =
garner.=20

Next week's headline should read ''Bored Teen Fabricates Meteorite =
Story''. =20

This whole tall-tale smells a lot like the ''Eagle's Butt'' whopper from =
a few months back.=20

I knew nothing about meteorites at age 10 other than that they fell from =
the sky. In any case, even as a ten year old, decades ago, I could have =
told anyone who would listen that the so-called ''Eagle's Butt =
Meteorite'' was nothing more than plain old run of the mill SLAG.=20

Shame on those ''collectors'' who fell for the con-job hook line & =
sinker.=20

I still find that whole fiasco to be rather amusing.=20

These two far fetched close encounters of the BOGUS KIND should serve as =
a reminder to those waiting in line with cash in hand for a chunk of the =
no longer existing planet SLAGO to look before you leap... or think =
