This is assuming the name place is a Spanish name and not Portuguese. As for Mbale, I have a friend from that part of Africa and his last name is Ncube. He pronounces it "new - bay". If the same pronunciation conventions applies to Mbale, then it would sound like "ma - lay". Rob Elliott's "Leighlinbridge" isn't pronounced the way it looks. I believe it is pronounced "lock - lynn - bridge". Rob can clarify this one. Go figure. At least I know how to pronounce most of the Arizona meteorites. How far off can you be with "Cat Mountain"?
