I thought it was important to remind everyone on this list to use discresion
in what they may
say here about what has happened in the past few days and what may be
occuring in the future.

This is not to say that anyone has been guilty of any indiscressions but it
should be said as a pro-
phalactic measure.

The internet is not a secure place. Information posted here is accesible to
anyone including the
enemies of this great nation.

Posting or otherwise disseminating classified information, including but not
restricted to military
and naval deployments, battle plans, inteligence gathering, or criminal
investigations related to
the attacks on Tuesday, is a felony. It matters not whether one has taken a
secrecy oath or not.

I recent times engforcement of this law has been relaxed. Secretary
Rumsfeld has assured the
media and the nation that this lax enforcement has become a thing of the
past.

Our enemies have already benefited from information passed along by the
media. I will not
elaborate. Please exercise care in what you say here. It can, in reality,
be a matter of life and
death to Americans.

If you know of anything, however innocent it may seem, please keep it to
yourself.

In addition: if there is reason to believe that such information has been
posted here I urge the
administrator of this list to remove it from the archives.
