The local tv stations today had a report of a fireball last night apparently
seen from Maryland through New York and Rhode Island. Conflicting data,
however, gave its direction of travel as easterly. Even more contradictory
was a report that the same object may have been seen on the west coast.
Perhaps (this is my speculation) there was a separate fireball at about the
same time, as most information seemed to indicate flames shooting from the
object (s).
