Well, yeah if today happened to be June 14, 1998 this would be a timely news piece, since CNN is obviously re-telling (once again) the Portales Valley story. All the info about Twink Monrad and Jim Kriegh has also appeared, elsewhere, over the last two or three years. Still, it's always nice to see the names of our meteorite-hunting friends in print, even if the story itself is almost as old as the Gold Basin strewn field.

So much for *news.*

I hope CNN's coverage of the "war against terrorism" is a bit more up-to-date.
